International Designation Programs

To properly recognize the producers who participate in the Producer Development Series, LIMRA offers a designation for the completion of courses in each stage:

• The Associate Financial Advisor (AFA) designation is conferred for Stage 1.
• The Professional Financial Advisor (PFA) designation is conferred for Stage 2.
• The Master Financial Advisor (MFA) designation is conferred for Stage 3.

Producers earn a designation after completing 30 credits in a particular stage. Each current course carries 10 credits, based on the content and level of the curriculum.
