To overcome this, Jordan’s presentation will discuss ways in which to help insurance professionals become reinspired by reminding them of the intrinsic value they bring to their clients. His presentation will demonstrate how the economic downturn can actually be used in our favor, as people need us now more than ever. The Longevity Revolution – Nothing is as it was Before

Alexandre Kalache, MD, PhD, President, International Longevity Centre
The average life expectancy has increased nearly 30 years over the past century, with some countries even surpassing that average. For example, Brazil has experienced one of the most impressive life expectancy increases, moving from a life expectancy of 43 years old in 1945 to a life expectancy of 75 years old for those born today. The majority of these extra years are being lived out to their fullest and cannot simply be considered as ‘old age’. Therefore, this presentation will discuss the implications of those extra years of life and identify how individuals and societies should prepare themselves for this `longevity revolution`.
