LIMRA collects personal identifying information (such as your name and email address) at several different points on our Web site: when you complete a survey, register for a meeting, subscribe to a service, ask for additional information, or access any other sections of our site requiring such information. LIMRA also collects billing information, including credit card number and expiration date, from visitors who pay for or register for LIMRA events, products, and services online.
LIMRA logs visitors' IP addresses for the collection of aggregate information about site visitors and their interests. LIMRA tracks information about visits to our Web site, the daily number of visitors to our site, the daily requests for particular files, and from what country the requests originate. These aggregated statistics are used internally to improve services to our customers. The statistics contain no personal information and cannot be used to gather such information.
LIMRA may place a "cookie" on the visitor's hard drive to facilitate a user-friendly experience. Cookies are small files that contain information a Web site uses for tracking purposes. LIMRA uses the cookie information it receives to improve the efficiency of customer service for its Members Only section.
LIMRA may use this information to enhance the value of the Web site by informing you of new research, the release of reports and publications, or to announce new products and services. LIMRA may also use your information in the aggregate for marketing and promotional purposes, to improve the content of our Web pages, or to notify you about updates to our Web site. LIMRA never shares personal identifying information with anyone not affiliated with our organization. You always have the option to choose not to receive these types of communications.
LIMRA may occasionally inform registered users and publication subscribers about new research, special events, new products, and other third-party product and service offers that we believe they will find useful or interesting. At any time, you may request that your information not be used for such purposes by sending an email to LIMRA at Customer.Service@limra.com.
LIMRA is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We do not sell, share, or rent this information.
Internally, LIMRA restricts access to personally identifiable information to those employees who need the information to do their jobs. These employees are limited in number, and are committed to our privacy and security policies. Credit card information is collected via a secure Web form and is subsequently protected by the application's security, as well as our network security.
LIMRA may also share personal information with third-party intermediaries solely for the purpose of distribution and order fulfillment. These intermediaries may include credit card companies and banks.
If LIMRA plans to use information collected from users in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection, LIMRA will post a notice on the site and users will have the option of being excluded from this use.
To use the Members-Only section of this Web site, a user must complete a registration form. During registration, a user is required to give his or her contact information, including name, company, email address, and specific demographic data to help LIMRA better meet members' needs. This information is used to contact the user about the services on our site for which they have expressed interest and to ensure that only authorized employees of LIMRA member companies have access to our Members-Only section. We send all new members a welcoming email to verify password and user name. Established members may also receive information on products, services, events, and publications.
Our Web site contains links to other sites. Please be aware that LIMRA is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites.
