Radical proposals so far include abolishing the Financial Services Authority, Britain's pioneering fiancial services regulator, and raising the State retirement age faster than currently planned. They are also listening to a plan by a consortium of UK life offices to come up with an alternative to the Labour Government's personal savings scheme, due to be introduced in 2012.
