LIMRA’s strategic and developmental research identifies opportunities for new research that will give
LIMRA a leading presence in the industry. Whether focused on distribution, markets, future trends,
information management, or organizational issues, strategic research is intended to stimulate thought
and facilitate management decision making. Developmental research spots emerging issues and conducts
early research on them so information is available when they become mainstream issues.
Emerging Issues Study Group
The study group is a forum to raise issues of possible future significance and vet the ideas through
discussion. It also allows individuals involved in strategic planning to network with their peers in
