As an associate managing director for LIMRA's Retirement Research team, Jafor Iqbal leads the organization's retirement income initiatives. Prior to joining LIMRA, Jafor spent 12 years with Fidelity Investments, with his last ten years being with the life insurance company (FILI). He was the Director of Product Management, leading initiatives to develop and maintain products and services for pre-retirees and retirees. He helped launch several annuity products and has a passion for retirement income. Before he became Director, he was a Senior Marketing Research Manager, conducting segmentation analysis and monitoring trends in the retirement industry to help FILI senior management to formulate strategies.

As senior analyst in LIMRA’s Retirement Research unit, Beatrice is responsible for retirement income related surveys such as LIMRA’s Variable Annuity Guaranteed Living Benefit Election Tracking Survey.

Beatrice joined LIMRA’s industry research department in 1999. The many individual annuity projects he has been involved with include sales, net flows, company practices, and compensation research. In addition, he has conducted surveys in support of LIMRA’s Annuity Competitive Intelligence Study Group.

Prior to joining LIMRA, Beatrice worked for CIGNA Corporation’s Employee Benefits Division and Hartford Life’s Individual Life and Annuity Division. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Connecticut.
