Alison Salka joined LIMRA and LOMA in 2012 and is responsible for determining and implementing the strategy and direction of its global research program. She oversees a team of more than 80 researchers and other staff professionals in the research division who conduct consumer research, benchmark studies, and white papers focused on helping member companies better understand industry issues and trends. She is also the director of the Secure Retirement Institute.

Salka previously led the retirement research and competitive intelligence team at Prudential, and was also a director of retirement research and business analytics at MassMutual. She has earned a Master’s degree and holds a doctorate.

Corporate Vice President and Director, Workplace Benefits Research, LIMRA and LOMA

Patrick T. Leary, M.B.A., LLIF, is corporate vice president, workplace benefits research for LIMRA and LOMA. In this role, Pat leads a team of workplace benefits professionals responsible for conducting research on the products, markets, and distribution of a wide range of life, health, and related employee benefits.

Before assuming his current position, Pat directed LIMRA and LOMA’s distribution research program and, prior to that, was a member of LIMRA and LOMA’s group insurance research team.

Pat joined LIMRA and LOMA in 1989. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Hartwick College and his M.B.A. from the University of Connecticut. Pat also earned his LIMRA and LOMA Leadership Institute Fellow (LLIF) designation in 2012.

Vice President, Content, International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans

Ms. Stich serves as Vice President, Content, for the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans. In this role, she oversees the International Foundation’s educational programs, including online learning courses, webcasts, virtual conferences and in-person educational events. As an employee benefits expert, Ms. Stich closely follows emerging employee benefits issues and trends, ensuring that the Foundation’s 33,000 members, who represent more than 25 million lives, are informed. Ms. Stich regularly speaks on health care, retirement and other employee benefit topics and has been quoted by numerous media outlets including The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg Law, Forbes and CNBC. She is involved with the Society of Actuaries’ Committee on Post Retirement Needs and Risks and the Employee Benefit Research Institute’s Financial Wellbeing Research Center. She is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Financial Service Professionals. Ms. Stich is a member of the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists and the Pension Research Council. She holds the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) professional designation, a master’s degree in library and information science and a bachelor of arts degree in English and history from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee.
