David Levenson

Presidente y CEO

David Levenson es el presidente y CEO de LIMRA, LOMA y LL Global, Inc. Su responsabilidad es liderar la asociación más grande del mundo de compañías de servicios financieros y de seguros de vida, representando a más de 1200 compañías de servicios financieros en 60 países alrededor del mundo. Anteriormente, Levenson fue director de Edward Jones y formó parte del comité de gestión de 2015-2018. Fue responsable de todos los productos distribuidos a través de su red de 17.000 asesores en Estados Unidos y Canadá. Antes de trabajar con Edward Jones en 2012, Levenson fue Presidente de administración patrimonial de The Hartford Financial Services Group y responsable de los negocios de anualidades individuales, vida individual, fondos mutuos y planes de jubilación de la compañía. Gina Birchall, J.D., LLIF, CLU

Chief Operating Officer

Gina Birchall joined LL Global as chief operating officer in 2017. In this role, she is responsible for the organization's Research and Member Benefits, Professional Development, Talent Solutions, and Industry Solutions as well as Marketing, Information Technology, Legal, and Accounting departments. 

Prior to joining LL Global, Birchall held various positions at The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America. Most recently, she was Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, leading initiatives across the enterprise to advance its business goals.

Birchall holds a Bachelor of Arts from Mount Holyoke College and a Juris Doctor from the Western New England University School of Law, both in Massachusetts, as well as CLU and LLIF designations.

Philip Brown

Managing Director, Commercial Research

Phil Brown is responsible for LIMRA’s commercial research products and offerings. This includes LIMRA’s custom research services, the customer assurance program, as well as new product development in the areas of customer experience and applied data analytics. He is a staff representative on the Customer Insight Advisory Council and a frequent industry speaker.

Brown joined LIMRA in 2014 with more than 25 years of experience in financial services, with leadership roles in market development, analytics, technology and finance at companies such as Citigroup (Travelers, Smith Barney and Citibank), MassMutual and Guardian Life Insurance.

He is a graduate of Boston University’s School of Management and an Executive Scholar with Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Carie Crane, FLMI, ACS, AIRC, ARA

Vice President, Professional Development

As the Vice President of Professional Development for LOMA, Carie Crane is responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and support of the educational courses and programs to enhance the quality of human resources in and available to the insurance and financial services industry worldwide. In this role, she works with member advisory groups to determine educational needs and oversees the development of online and instructor-facilitated training courses and professional designation programs to meet those needs.

Crane joined LOMA in 1999 as an Examination Writer and has taken on a variety of roles related to the LOMA's education product development. She holds a Bachelor of Science in English from Troy University and a Master of Arts in professional writing from Kennesaw State University.

Matthew Drinkwater, Ph.D., FLMI, AFSI, PCS

Michele LaBouff

Senior Vice President, Human Resources

Michele LaBouff leads the human resources (HR) department for LL Global. She develops HR strategies that support the company's business goals, which align with its core values, and that deliver on its employee value proposition.

In this role, LaBouff is also responsible for leading all aspects of the employee experience including engagement, recognition, development and recruitment, as well as compensation and benefits.

LaBouff, who joined the organization in 1995, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.

Patrick T. Leary, M.B.A.

Vicepresidente Corporativo de Investigación en Distribución

Patrick T. Leary, M.B.A., LLIF es Vice-Presidente Corporativo de Investigación en Distribución para LIMRA. En su función, Leary supervisa el programa LIMRA de Investigación en Distribución. Esta área examina una vasta gama de fuerzas de venta directas/propias y estratégicas de distribución tercerizada, con foco en los aspectos económicos de la distribución, prácticas organizacionales y tendencias de mercado a medida que estos canales evolucionan. Sean F. O'Donnell

Vice President, Member Relations and Consulting

O’Donnell is responsible for developing and implementing LIMRA’s member-engagement strategy in the U.S. and Canada.  He leads a team of professionals dedicated to helping member-company executives and their teams fully leverage the research, member benefits, and commercial solutions available through the LIMRA division of LL Global.   In addition, he is responsible for leading LIMRA ‘s consulting business, working to help companies apply LIMRA’s research and industry expertise to develop strategies for growth.

Sean brings more than 25 years of marketing, sales, research, and organizational and consumer-behavior experience to his current role.  Over the course of his career at LIMRA, O’Donnell has worked with companies in all sectors of the insurance and financial services industry on a variety marketing, distribution, and product-related initiatives.  In addition, he has extensive experience helping clients with sales channel growth programs – recruiting, selection, on-boarding, productivity, retention, and field leadership development.  Prior to joining the LIMRA organization, he was a supervising project director and analyst for the PERT Group, a global research-based consultancy, working on product development and brand equity research for organizations such as Gillette, Clorox, S.C. Johnson, and Nestle.

O’Donnell received both his Bachelors and his M.B.A., with concentrations in finance and marketing, from the University of Hartford.

Actuario de investigación

Purushotham, quien se integró a LIMRA en 2000, trabaja en investigación de productos de seguros de vida personales y de discapacidad. Ella es responsable de los estudios de persistencia de seguros de vida personales, ingresos por discapacidad y protección a largo plazo, además del diseño e investigación de desarrollo de diversos productos.

Antes de integrarse a LIMRA, Purushotham pasó ocho años en el desarrollo de productos de seguros de vida personales y rentas vitalicias, y reportes financieros en New England Financial en Boston. Kathryn N. Reid

Vice President, Assessment and Development Solutions

As head of LIMRA’s Assessment & Development business, Reid leads a professional team of training and development experts to deliver global solutions to help member companies recruit, select, assess and onboard new talent. She is also is responsible for advising domestic and international project teams, developing selection products, and consulting members on recruiting and selection process.

Reid joined LIMRA in 1989 as a research analyst, rising through the ranks to assume her current role in 2008. An experienced facilitator, she works with companies to evaluate selection process effectiveness and to develop new approaches in recruiting and selection. Reid also has trained thousands of field leaders on how to best recruit, select, and retain top talent — as well as numerous field agents on how to hire sub-producers and office staff, and how to develop their own sales skills.

She earned a B.S. in economics from the University of Connecticut and an M.S. in organizational behavior from the University of Hartford.

Kartik Sakthivel, MS-IT/MS-CS, M.B.A.

Chief Information Officer

As chief information officer for LIMRA and LOMA, Kartik Sakthivel is responsible for developing the information technology strategic direction for the enterprise. In this capacity, he directs and manages computing and information technology policies, programs and schedules for business and enterprise systems, and manages information services to meet LIMRA and LOMA’s corporate goals and objectives. An industry thought leader, Sakthivel champions the use of technology to improve the revenue, profitability, and efficiency of the organization.

Joining LIMRA and LOMA in 2017, Sakthivel has broad industry experience, most recently as director of technology at Liberty Mutual Insurance. He holds a Master of Science in computer information systems/information technology, as well as a Master of Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University.

Alison Salka, Ph.D.

Senior Vice President and Director of Research

Salka is responsible for determining and implementing the strategy and direction of LIMRA's global research program.  She oversees a team of more than 80 researchers and other staff professionals working in LIMRA's research division who conduct consumer research, benchmark studies, and white papers focused on helping member companies better understand industry issues and trends. She is also a director of the LIMRA LOMA Secure Retirement Institute.

Prior to joining LIMRA in 2012, Salka led the retirement research and competitive intelligence team at Prudential. She was also Director of retirement research and business analytics at MassMutual. She is a graduate of Gettysburg College and received an MA from the College of William and Mary and a Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University.

Todd A. Silverhart, Ph.D.

Vicepresidente Corporativo y Director, de Investigación en Tecnología, Marketing y Distribución y Investigación de Mercado

Silverhart es responsible de dirigir los programas de investigación de Tecnología y de Mercados. Este programa se enfoca en el mercado de negocio como también el mercado medio y emergente de segmentos del consumidor. Frequentemente un expositor de la industria y autor , también sirve como representante el Comité de Investigación de Mercado de LIMRA y del e-Business CRM y grupo de estudios de distribución de gerencia y tecnología.

Se incorporó en LIMRA el 1988, Silverhart previamente sirvió en la unidad de Evaluación y Desarrollo de LIMRA, donde condujo investigación de productores y gerentes de campo, consultación y desarrollo de productos.

Es graduado de Middlebury College y recibió su Ph.D. en Psychología industrial y organizacional de la Universidad de Old Dominion.

Mark Singleton

Head of Industry Solutions and Chief Financial Officer

Mark Singleton joined LL Global in 2020 as the new head of Industry Solutions and chief financial officer (CFO). As head of LL Global’s industry solutions program, Singleton will work with members to identify new ideas to help address common issues, and build and execute the go-to-market strategies. He will also oversee the overall operations for LL Global’s conferences and meetings (both virtual and in-person), to ensure consistency and enhanced member value. As CFO, he will oversee the development of finance strategies to support LL Global’s broader Compass 2025 strategic roadmap.

Singleton has more than 30 years of leadership experience in finance, distribution, and operations roles with a number of life and annuity carriers. Most recently, Singleton was president and chief executive officer (CEO) of 5Star Life Insurance Company, the life insurance carrier for the Armed Forces Benefit Association.

Singleton has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Baltimore. He became a certified public accountant (CPA) in the state of Maryland, and has earned LOMA’s designation of Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI).

Lisa Tanen-LaFontaine, M.B.A.

Chief Marketing Officer

Lisa joined LL Global as the head of Marketing in early 2016. She oversees the marketing efforts across the organization, supporting a number of internal clients including domestic and international research, assessment and development, education and training, conferences, and member relations. She leads a team of multimedia, public relations, communications, online, strategy, design, and social media professionals focused on creating compelling and engaging campaigns to help internal clients get their products, services, and unique solutions in front of the right member companies.

Prior to joining LL Global, Lisa spent 15 years in the financial services industry, with previous roles including marketing director of retirement plan services at Lincoln Financial Group, vice president of communications strategy at EMPOWER Retirement (formerly J.P. Morgan Retirement Plan Services), and director of participant communications at Prudential Retirement. She holds an M.B.A. in marketing.
