 Former Undersecretary for Economic and Social Affairs (2003 - 2007)

Renowned Colombian economist José Antonio Ocampo combines a rare mix of skills and experience in both academia and high-level political responsibilities at global, regional and national levels.  José Antonio Ocampo has served as Minister of Finance and Public Credit of Colombia, Minister of Agriculture, Director of the National Planning Department, Director of Colombia's main think-tanks on economic issues Fedesarrollo and the Center for Economic Development Studies CEDE, Professor of Economics at Universidad de los Andes, and Professor of Economic History at Universidad Nacional. José Antonio Ocampo holds degrees in Economics and Sociology from the University of Notre Dame and a Ph.D in Economics from Yale University. He has been a visiting Professor at Cambridge, Oxford and Yale, and has received a number of personal honors and distinctions including the Alejandro Angel Escobar Science Award.

Currently a lawyer at Universidad de Antioquia, Botero received his degree in Political Science at West Virginia University. He has served as Executive Director at the World Bank, a consultant to the Inter-American Development Bank, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, President of ASOBANCARIA, Founder and President of ASOFONDOS, President of Banco Cafetero, Legal Secretary under President Virgilio Barco, Legal Vice President of the Asociación Nacional de Industriales (ANDI), and as a member of various company boards. Botero is a frequent lecturer at universities and trade forums and has contributed to weekly columns on economic, financial, political, and foreign trade issues in El Colombiano, The Republic, El Heraldo, La Patria, Portfolio and Legal Scope.

Fue Vicerrector Económico, Vicerrector Académico, Decano de la Facultad de Economía y Profesor de la Universidad del Norte.  Posteriormente, como Gerente de Finanzas de Banmédica S.A., inició las actividades de un compañía de seguros de vida, y una AFP. Fue Gerente de Finanzas de Banrenta Compañía de Seguros de Vida. También fue Director de Estudios de la carrera de Ingeniería Comercial y posteriormente Director Académico y profesor del ESE Business School de la Universidad de los Andes. Se ha desempeñado también como miembro titular de la Comisión Clasificadora de Riesgo de las AFP (en representación de las Administradoras de Fondos de Pensiones) y miembro del Directorio de diversas empresas. Como Gerente General de la Asociación de Aseguradores de Chile A.G., ha asumido cargos internacionales, llegando a ser Secretario General de FIDES durante dos períodos. En septiembre de 2012 fue nombrado Vicepresidente Ejecutivo de la Asociación de Aseguradores de Chile A.G.

Nuno David has spent more than two decades developing his career in the areas of Marketing, Planning and Sales. In his current role, David oversees all areas related to Communications, Relationship Management (call center, sites, social networks, relationship rulers), Events planing and production, Product development, Direct and Digital Marketing, Business Intelligence, Research & Innovation and the Corporate TV channel.  Since joining Mongeral Aegon in 2009, some accomplishments within the company have included launching a new brand strategy, defining the Company Purpose, implementing a relationship rule that consolidates and integrates all points of contact between the insurance company and its Clients, and intensifying the use of innovative methodologies to address problems, challenges and opportunities. Prior to joining Mongeral Aegon he spent 8 years as the CEO of Europ Assistance Brasil – a role he took on after spending time in both Portugal and Italy overseeing product development and strategic planning for Europ Assistance Portugal and Piaggio Veicoli Europei (Italy).

Since 1989 he has spent his time concentrating on the HR and PR field, applying widely recognized innovative methodologies to these more traditional fields. As an English language teacher and Chilean history lecturer, Luis has often been defined as a Renaissance Man, with a passion for music, fluency in several languages, and a tourism guide for his local area.

Jose Luis Hornos has more than 25 years of experience working for and heading up different international group subsidiaries in Spain, including AXA, ROYAL, DKV, AVIVA, and HDI.  He is currently the CEO and founder of Scor TELEMED, a subsidiary company of SCOR Group devoted to the creation and implementation of Automated Underwriting.  An Actuary by trade, Jose Luis has a degree in Economics and an Executive MBA from the IESE in Madrid.  Prior to his current role he was the Life & Health Manager for their service company, which first introduced Tele Underwriting services in Spain back in 2007.

Bob Kerzner leads the world’s largest association of life insurance and financial services companies. The combined organizations have over 1,200 members in more than 64 countries, including most of the world’s largest life insurance companies. Before joining LIMRA in 2004, Kerzner was executive vice president and head of the individual life division of Hartford Life, Inc. After spearheading the acquisition of Woodbury Financial Services, a national broker-dealer organization with more than 1,800 independent representatives, Kerzner also served as president of Woodbury. Kerzner’s career with The Hartford spanned 30 years from 1974 to 2004.

Hernán is responsible for the LIMRA Research Program in Latin America. He specializes in market research and development of distribution, communication and marketing tools. Previously, he was Deputy Director of LIMRA Operations for Latin America for 8 years, during which time he designed strategic contents in distribution and marketing for the associated companies, and carried out consulting activities in human resources, recruitment, selection and training. In 2007 he co-founded IMR, an international network of specialists in research and strategic design. Since then he has conducted market studies, design and development of distribution and marketing strategies for companies in Peru, Chile, Brazil, Colombia and Mexico.

As the Head of Digital, Global Consumer for AIG Personal Insurance, Rohit is responsible for the development of all strategic Digital & Mobile plans and capabilities for global, regional, and local implementation – across direct, agency, and broker channels, creating the roadmap for digital integration across channels and devices, and the support model for local deployment.  Prior to this, as the Chief Marketing Officer for GE (Growth Economies) with AIG, he was responsible for establishing a consistent Consumer Marketing function across GE that focused on the Customer and supported world-class product development, distribution and servicing capabilities as well as developing the region’s channel-agnostic Marketing Strategy, driven by maximizing both customer and shareholder value over time with a focus on developing the Strategic Business Expansion plans for 8 key countries in the region. With over 22 years of experience, Rohit has also managed senior Marketing and Sales & Distribution roles at HDFC Bank, Reliance Life Insurance, Tata AIG Life Insurance, Cadbury’s and Coca-Cola previous to his assignments at AIG.

Based in Hong Kong, Mark has more than 30 years of Insurance industry experience, many gained in Asia, working in Agency development and Training roles with companies including New York Life, AIA/AIG, and Zurich Life.  Mark began his career in North America as a Life Insurance Agent and has served in a variety of Field Management roles.  As a top Field Manager, he received several national awards including Sales Manager of the Year – West Central Zone with New York Life.  In 2002 he relocated to Seoul, Korea as EVP and CDO with New York Life International (NYLI) and in 2004, he joined AIA (AIG) as Regional Vice President, APLO in Hong Kong to establish the firm’s regional strategy for distribution development and best practices.  In 2008, he returned to NYLI in a regional role working in Shanghai, Chengdu, and Hong Kong to develop Agency Distribution.  Recently he served as the Chief Agency Officer and Regional Head of Business Development – Tied Agents for Zurich Life Insurance Hong Kong.

John Wilson, FLMI, AIRC, ACS is a Data Scientist and Project Coordinator for LIMRA.  Prior to joining LIMRA, he enjoyed a 20+ year career in retail.  He received his Bachelors Degree in Political Science from Central Connecticut State University and a Masters Degree in Business Analytics and Project Management from the University of Connecticut, where he is a member of the School of Business Hall of Fame.  In addition to his duties at LIMRA, John is an adjunct professor at UCONN where he teaches both graduate and undergrad courses in Visual Analytics, Engineering Management, Cost & Risk Management and Operations Management.

All cancellations must be received in writing. Cancellations received before July 10, 2015, will be refunded, less a $75 processing fee. Cancellations received from July 10 to July 24, 2015, will be refunded, less a $275 processing and administrative fee. No refunds will be issued after July 24, 2015.
