Highlights

Our theme this year — The Power of Promise — reflects the very essence of life insurance and annuities: the profound impact of a promise. Unlike products that offer short-term benefits, life insurance and annuities represent a lasting commitment—a promise of protection, security, and peace of mind when it matters most.

Exploring the Power of Promise—What Does It Truly Mean?

A Trust-Based Industry - Our industry is built on trust—a commitment to protect loved ones, preserve financial well-being, and support long-term goals. The life insurance and annuity promise rests on reliability and resilience, delivering value today and for generations to come. In a time of rapid change, that trust is more vital than ever.

Expanding Protection - The meaning of protection is expanding. Beyond traditional coverage, today’s life insurance and annuity products address evolving risks—from retirement and long-term care to wealth transfer and financial wellness. Our industry is innovating to reach more people with greater access and equity, closing coverage gaps and serving diverse families. The promise grows stronger as it extends to those who need it most.

Impact on Families and Communities - Our impact reaches far beyond policyholders. Each claim, retirement income, and protected family strengthens households and communities alike. Life insurance and annuities provide stability in crisis, dignity in retirement, and a foundation for future generations. Ours is the business of legacy—fulfilling promises that secure lives for generations.

Delivering Value When It Matters Most - As we look to the future, the question is not whether life insurance and annuities remain relevant, but how we continue to deliver value in the moments that matter most. From embracing technology that enhances trust and transparency, to cultivating new partnerships that expand reach and impact, the path forward is rooted in the strength of our promise.

These factors will be explored at the 2026 Life Insurance & Annuity Conference Jointly hosted by LIMRA and LOMA, the Society of Actuaries, and ACLI, this premier event offers life insurance and annuity professionals rich cross-functional learning and networking opportunities in development, operations, marketing, distribution, regulation, technology, and administration.
