Monica Wegner is a Managing Director & Partner in the Sydney office of The Boston Consulting Group. She is a core member of The Boston Consulting Group’s Financial Institutions, Consumer, and Marketing practices, and she leads BCG’s consumer insight work in Australia and New Zealand. She is also a global topic expert on Customer Centricity.

Since joining BCG in 2004, Monica has worked across a broad range of industries to help clients enhance customer insight and customer experience design, and she is a key contributor to BCG’s global consumer sentiment survey. Monica also has deep expertise in organizational transformation and change management in the consumer, financial services and travel and tourism sectors.

Over the course of her career, Monica has partnered with numerous clients to help them make fundamental changes to offset threats to their business model and drive the next phase of growth. She has supported many large-scale transformations end-to-end—from helping companies define where they want to go, to implementing the changes that get them there.  Monica has also taken on a number of roles at clients to help them drive their transformations, such as Head of Transformation for a travel organisation and General Manager,  Customer Experience at a retailer.

Carsten is a member of the firm's Global Financial Institutions, specializing in insurance, as well as the lead of the insurance TURN program at BCG GC.  He currently supports clients across Asia-Pacific on a range of strategy and transformation programs, from conceptual design all the way through to the management and implementation of the transformation.  Past projects have included leading the development of a shared service center to integrate all back office functions into a new separate business unit, assessing product portfolios to develop long term product strategy, risk modelling and risk methodology documentation, and building a market entry strategy for the employer benefit market.  Carsten holds a Master in finance and real estate from the European Business School, an MBA in insurance and a PhD. He also co-authored publications on topics such as sales success factors of tied agents and disruption in the auto insurance industry.

Pranay Mehrotra is a Senior Partner & Managing Director in the Mumbai office of The Boston Consulting Group and a member of the firm’s global Insurance leadership team.  Pranay has over 20 years of experience working with insurers across markets on growth strategy, go-to-market programs, sales excellence, operational and organizational transformation, new business build, M&As and digital business models.  His recent areas of focus include leading BCG’s work on the future of insurance distribution and the impact of digital and analytics on insurance business models. As a expert on Insurance distribution, he has worked with multiple insurers and banks on the evolution of their bancassurance models.
