Windsor, CT, July 31, 2008 — The McLaughlin Group will be the featured event at the 2008 LIMRA Annual Meeting, which will host the leaders of major life insurance and financial services companies to Boston from Oct. 26 to 28.
The theme of this year's Annual Meeting: True Leadership: Seeing and Seizing Today's Opportunities, is designed to help attendees develop the vision to see present and future opportunities and give them the ability and determination to seize them.

The McLaughlin Group is TV's longest-running political talkfest. Since 1982, John McLaughlin and a panel of political pundits have discussed current political issues in a round table format.
At LIMRA's Annual Meeting, the group will discuss the current issues and challenges facing Americans, focusing on ways that the insurance and financial services industries could help improve consumers' lives. A week before the presidential election, the group also will examine the approaches of each presidential candidate with regard to the economy, health care and the growing financial concerns as Baby Boomers retire en mass.
In addition to The McLaughlin Group, Frank Keating, former Oklahoma governor and currently, president and CEO of the ACLI, will share how his experiences as governor during the Oklahoma City bombing, working in the federal government and as president of the ACLI have shaped his thoughts on leadership.
The program also will include remarks from Gordon Bethune, former CEO and chairman of Continental Airlines; Jacob Hacker, professor of political science at Yale University and fellow, New American Foundation; philosopher and author, Tom Morris; and Quincy Krosby, Ph.D. chief investment strategist at The Hartford.
The meeting, which will take place at the Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa in Hollywood, Fla. typically draws more than 500 top executives from LIMRA member companies in the U.S., Canada and abroad.
