WINDSOR, Conn., June 7, 2012 — LIMRA announced today that Michael Marshall has joined the company as corporate vice president and director of its international research program.

In his new role, Marshall will be responsible for the development and execution of LIMRA’s international research strategy. Under his guidance, the international research unit will continue to conduct a wide variety of research, providing insights and trends in distribution, consumer behavior and sentiment, products, retirement, and technology for markets throughout the world. Understanding global trends has become increasingly more important to companies as they expand their footprint into new markets. Marshall’s leadership will help further LIMRA’s position as the trusted source of industry knowledge worldwide.
Prior to joining LIMRA, Marshall spent 22 years with New York Life, culminating as corporate vice president and director of research. He is a founding member of the Financial Industry Research Study Team, established in 1994 and represented by senior researchers from leading life and investment companies, research suppliers and industry organizations. He has also participated and chaired various LIMRA committees and study groups throughout his career.
