LIMRA Announces Two Additional Main Stage Speakers for its 2019 Annual Conference

WINDSOR, Conn., June 19, 2019—LIMRA today announced Sallie Krawcheck, CEO and co-founder of Ellevest, and retired U.S. Navy Adm. William H. McRaven will join the lineup of speakers at the 2019 LIMRA Annual Conference on Oct. 27-29 in Boston, Mass.

Recognized as one of the most senior and influential women on Wall Street, Krawcheck has an unmatched perspective on the financial services industry.

In her remarks, Krawcheck will provide an insider’s knowledge and an analyst’s perspective about the future of the financial services industry. Her comments will be given in context of the increasing regulatory constraints, growing importance of technology and need to help more Americans become financially secure.

Retired U.S. Navy Adm. William H. McRaven is a best-selling author, former Chancellor of the University of Texas System and a recognized national authority on U.S. foreign policy. During his time in the military, he commanded special operations forces at every level, eventually taking charge of the U.S. Special Operations Command. His career included combat during Desert Storm and both the Iraq and Afghanistan wars; commanding the troops that captured Saddam Hussein and rescued Captain Phillips; and developing the plan and leading the Osama bin Laden mission in 2011.

Drawing on his extraordinary experiences, McRaven will share his insight on U.S. foreign policy and the current geopolitical environment. He will also share what he has learned about the importance of team work, personal accountability, resilience and leadership.
