WINDSOR, Conn., June 24, 2025 — LIMRA and LOMA today announced it has hired Sean Grindall to be senior vice president and head of Life Insurance and Annuity — North America. Grindall fills the role previously held by John Carroll, who is retiring after nearly 40 years working in the financial services industry.
Grindall will report to David Levenson, president and CEO, LIMRA and LOMA.
With more than 30 years’ experience, Grindall has served in executive positions for leading financial services companies, including PNC Bank Investments and USAA Life Insurance Company. Most recently, he served as vice president and head of external distribution of annuities, USAA Life Insurance Company, and head of investment product management, USAA Investment Management Company. In addition, he led USAA’s Enterprise Advice Group, which is responsible for the advice delivered across life insurance, property & casualty, and its bank channels.
“We are excited to bring Sean on board to lead our life and annuity member relationship teams. His experience and deep financial and sales knowledge will help support our members at an important time for our industry,” said Levenson. “With the merger of the Alliance for Lifetime Income into our organization, Sean will bring remarkable insights about the state of the U.S. annuity market and the unique needs of our members.”
In this new role, Grindall is responsible for member relations and business development for companies in the insurance and annuity sectors.
