Who Attends

Typically, our conferences in the region are attended by CEO’s and Senior Staff coming from every corner of the EMEA region. For the very first edition of the Middle Eastern Conference, we expect a wide audience at every level of the strategical teams of the different members of the region.

Highlights

The conference focuses on innovation and current topics affecting insurance and financial services companies conducting business and competing in Europe, Middle East and Africa. This year, we look closer at The Customer Journey and how to make it decisive.

Emmanuel Djengue is the Innovation Director of RGAX Europe. He has been in the sector for several years with the firm intention of designing and developing innovative projects to offer a more attractive service. He wrote several published articles about Insurance digital transformation and has delivered over 20 workshops and presentations around Europe. Currently, he is part of the renowned Global Shapers community, supported by the World Economic Forum where he leads a social project focused on new generations, digitalization, and sustainability. It is declared "a millennial that believes in insurance" and promoter of "Make Insurance Sexier".

Elias is an insurance and financial services executive with over 35 years experience.

During his career, he served as a Corporate Vice President/Chief Distribution & Strategy Officer at MedGulf Group, and later as Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer at Capital Express Global Holdings (Headquartered in Nigeria and managed over 10 major business entities with branches throughout West and East Africa, namely Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Gambia, Sierra Leone, Liberia. Capital Express Global Holdings interests included Life Insurance & Financial Services, Health Maintenance Organizations, Brokerage Firms and Securities Companies).

Alessandra Gaudio

Managing Director and Head of Investments, Swisslife Gestion Privée

Alessandra Gaudio is Managing Director and Head of Investments at Swisslife Gestion Privée in Paris since February 2016. She is also a member of the Executive Committee of SwissLife Banque Privée. Prior to this, she was the Global Chief Investment Officer Private Banking at Edmond de Rothschild in Geneva and beforehand the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer at Indosuez Gestion (Crédit Agricole Group).

Alessandra Gaudio holds a Doctorate in Economics from the Cattolica del Sacro Cuore University, obtained in 1989 in Milan and a specialization in finance in the United States. In 1992, she graduated and became a Member of the French Society of Financial Analysts (SFAF). She is Member of the Board of Cercle des Banques Etrangères en France .

Thierry Langreney

CEO, Crédit Agricole Assurance Group and Pacifica

Thierry began his career with UAP in 1982 where he held several positions in the Regional divisions until 1997, when he was appointed Regional Director for the North-Picardy-Champagne region at Axa Assurances. In 2001, he became Head of Group Strategy and Planning for Axa and was also the group’s representative in Benelux, Germany and Eastern Europe. In 2006, he joined the Credit Agricole group, serving first at Credit Agricole S.A. and then at Credit Agricole Assurances, where he was Deputy Chief Executive Officer assisting the Head of International Insurance, with responsibility for life insurance and corporate finance. He previously was Head of International Insurance at Credit Agricole Assurances since 2010. 

Thierry Langreney has been Deputy Chief Executive Officer and second effective manager of Credit Agricole Assurances Group since 2015. He is a member of the Management Committee of Credit Agricole S.A. He is Chief Executive Officer of Pacifica since 1st December 2010.

Thierry Langreney is a graduate of Ecole Polytechnique and the French actuaries institute, IAF.

Philippe has spent his whole career in Financial Services at C-Level positions: Managing Director Retail France for JP Morgan Fleming Asset Management, Deputy CEO of La Hénin Vie (La Mondiale Partenaires), Development Director of GE Capital Finance (Europe)… He is the founder and current CEO of Integraales Agora, a consulting company specialized in Strategy and Organization for FS and is also … the author of crime novels (Éditions Bargain).

Oscar Macia holds a nuclear engineering degree from the Universitat Politècnica de Barcelona (UPC) and an Executive MBA from IESE Business School. Oscar has more than 20 years experience in sales management. He founded the personal sales assistant app, ForceManager, in 2011 with the mission to transform the way field sales teams sell on the road – making the process leaner and easier for the sales rep, while providing greater visibility and real-time data to their managers.
Yves Morieux

Senior Partner and Managing Director, Dubai Office of The Boston Consulting Group

As a BCG Fellow and the director of the BCG Institute for Organization, he divides his time between leading research and advising senior executives of multinational corporations and public-sector entities in the U.S., Europe, and Asia-Pacific on their strategies and organizational transformations. He has been based in Paris, Mumbai, Washington DC and is now in the Dubai office of BCG.

Yves has contributed to the development of organization theory relating to the behavioral and structural conditions for economic value creation and competitive advantage. Turning these insights into practice with the simple rules, he has helped CEOs with their most critical challenges, for instance, moving their companies from quasi bankruptcy to industry leadership, or transforming the business model and culture to reach new heights, or successfully managing groundbreaking innovations.

Bernard is responsible for LIMRA’s overall operations in Europe, Middle East & Africa. Under Bernard’s leadership LIMRA Europe will deliver a market leading value proposition to better serve its membership. Bernard is an experienced insurance industry executive and consultant with over 20 years experience. 

During his career as an executive in the insurance industry, he served for more than ten years as CEO and Chairman of life insurance companies and Pension Funds in Poland, Portugal and Czech Republic. In 2003, Bernard Retali founded two companies in Barcelona: INOV Finance consulting company mainly dedicated to the insurance and bancassurance industry and INOV Insurance broker dedicated to the expat community based in Spain.

Alison Salka joined LIMRA and LOMA in 2012 and is responsible for determining and implementing the strategy and direction of its global research program. She oversees a team of more than 80 researchers and other staff professionals in the research division who conduct consumer research, benchmark studies, and white papers focused on helping member companies better understand industry issues and trends. She is also the director of the Secure Retirement Institute.

Salka previously led the retirement research and competitive intelligence team at Prudential, and was also a director of retirement research and business analytics at MassMutual. She has earned a Master’s degree and holds a doctorate.

As president and CEO of LIMRA, LOMA and their parent organization, LL Global, Inc., Bob Kerzner leads the world’s largest association of life insurance and financial services companies. In 2010, he led the merger of LIMRA and LOMA, which together represent more than 1,200 members across 64 countries, including most of the world’s largest life insurance companies. 

Before joining LIMRA in 2004, Kerzner was executive vice president and head of the individual life division of Hartford Life, Inc. Under his leadership, the division experienced dramatic growth and record financial performance.

Kerzner is a leading voice in the life insurance, retirement and financial services industry, recently speaking at events held by the Department of Treasury’s Federal Insurance Office (FIO), the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), and Life Insurance Commission of New York (LICONY).  He is regularly sought out by leading national publications, like the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, and USA Today, as well as a host of trade and other business media outlets, to provide insight into industry issues and trends.

Kerzner is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University.
