John has more than four decades of experience in the financial services business, including 35 years as a Managing Partner and company executive for New York Life. As a Managing Partner he grew a new, young agency from almost nothing into one of the premier agencies in the world, using the foundation for what would later become the industry-renowned 25 Point System. In 2015 John was appointed Executive Director of Seguros Monterrey New York Life where he was charged with coaching top company executives, leading the Project Retention and MDRT Program, and managing the Agency Distribution Channel. Under his leadership, SMNYL saw their retention rates increase by 75 percent, their number of MDRT Agents and Aspirants from 432 to 624 (advancing SMNYL from the 33rd position to the 14th position in MDRT Membership), and their agency sales increased by 33%. In 2013 John was inducted into the GAMA International Hall of Fame, the highest honor in the Financial Services Industry, and in 2016 he established Baier Consulting International LLC. to foster “Exponential Growth Through Proven Systems. " John is the author of the book “The 25 Point System for Sales Accountability and Success in any Sales Field.” He is also the Chairman of 25 Point Systems Inc, featuring the mobile app Tier 25 of his 25 Point System.

Joyce joined the Insurance profession in April 2018 and has since consecutively qualified for MDRT, with Court of Table 2021.

Her business grew exponentially when she started to digitise her prospecting and client experience processes, mainly through establishing personal branding on social media and exploring tech tools that complement her business. Despite being relatively new in the profession, she has been recognised by both her company and profession.

As a strong advocate of utilising technology and social media, Joyce has implemented digitalisation at every aspect of her business. She has also given training to thousands of fellow Financial Consultants across Asia, to help them adapt to digitalisation as a new norm.

Matthew Chew is an Executive Director of Advisors Alliance Group, AIAFA.  Starting with just two people in his team in 2013, Matthew now has nearly 100 people under his care – and he is only 35 years old this year.  Since 2017, the team has groomed its members to achieve 35 qualified Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) and 59 International Dragon Awards (IDA) Associates.  Matthew’s vision for technological advances in the financial services industry has truly manifested during the crucial times of 2020. He spearheaded the building of a digital platform to allow for seamless financial advisory. This allowed the firm, now nearly 1000 strong, to leverage on this technology to continue providing their essential services during a time where all were ordered to stay home.

Jason has over 18 years’ experience in the insurance industry and he is now the Chief Agency Officer of Sun Life Hong Kong leading the growth and development of the agency channels, managing over 2,200 advisors and agency leaders to deliver quality agency business and manpower expansion.  He is in charge of the key business and administration functions and takes the lead to drive desirable agency behaviors and capture market opportunities.  Before this, he was the Deputy Head of Agency of Sun Life Asia responsible for strategizing and overseeing the implementation of Sun Life’s key agency initiatives in Hong Kong, the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, India and China. 

Prior to Sun Life, he had worked in various distribution management roles of multinational insurers in both local and regional offices in Asia.  He also actively involves in industry initiatives and is currently a key member of the Club 2028 of the Hong Kong Federation of Insurers leading the drive on promotion of financial literacy as well as positive industry image.  He was awarded the Outstanding Young Professional of the Year (Corporate) Top 3 in the Hong Kong Insurance Awards 2015 and the Young Executive of the Year in the Asia Trusted Life Agents & Advisors Award 2020.

Jason is always passionate in driving distribution quality and professionalism.  He specializes in agency transformation, quality recruitment, sales promotion and distribution quality management.  At the same time, he has strong passion and believe in taking innovative and seamless utilization on technology, digital and data analytics could uplift distribution service excellence and client experience into a new next level.

He is also a Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant.

Silverhart is responsible for directing select strategic research initiatives as well as implementing and managing processes to assure the quality of LIMRA and LOMA’s research program. Todd oversees the development of research agendas, the practices followed in conducting research, and the procedures for assuring the quality of research deliverables.

A frequent industry speaker and author, he also serves as staff representative for LIMRA and LOMA’s Customer Insight Advisory Council.

Having joined LIMRA and LOMA in 1988, Silverhart previously served in LIMRA and LOMA’s Assessment Solutions unit, where he conducted producer and field manager selection research, consultation, and product development. From 2000 to 2019 he managed various LIMRA and LOMA research functions including Technology in Marketing and Distribution, Markets, and Insurance Research.

Silverhart is a graduate of Middlebury College and received his Ph.D. in industrial and organizational psychology from Old Dominion University.

Khairul Nizam is the Chief Executive Officer of Finance Accreditation Agency (FAA), based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Established and supported by Central Bank of Malaysia and Securities Commission Malaysia. FAA provides independent accreditation and quality assurance services on academic, learning and training programmes relating to finance as well as accreditation and competency assessment services for finance professionals to support human capital development for the international finance industry.

Khairul was previously Deputy Secretary General of Accounting and Auditing Organisation for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI) – the international organization responsible for development and issuance of standards on Shariah, accounting, auditing, ethics and governance for the global Islamic finance industry. Khairul served AAOIFI, based in Manama, Bahrain, for over 10 years in various positions.

Prior to AAOIFI, Khairul was with Malaysia’s largest financial services group for over 10 years and was the Head of Islamic Banking in the groups offshore banking arm. He also served in various areas of the group’s operations, including corporate banking, auditing, and international banking. Khairul Nizam graduated from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom, and is a Certified Islamic Professional Accountant (CIPA).
