Windsor, CT, September 25, 2007 — Led by surging voluntary health offerings, second quarter 2007 worksite sales increased by 12 percent. This marks the fourth consecutive quarter of double-digit growth, according to the latest Worksite survey by LIMRA International.

"Health offerings are clearly driving worksite's resurgence. Voluntary life sales are improving, but show no signs of making a similar dramatic recovery," said Ron Neyer, LIMRA worksite research Senior Analyst and author of the U.S. Worksite Sales Second Quarter Review.

LIMRA's survey trends results for 32 carriers, representing many of the top worksite manufacturers. A slight second quarter rebound in life premiums pushed year-to-date results into positive territory, while health premiums have grown by 15 percent for the second quarter and year-to-date.

Term sales continue to outpace permanent life and AD&D, and long-term disability and dental premiums continue to surge. Short-term disability products also show double-digit growth. Medical products reversed their first quarter slide and now outpace 2006 sales.
