SEOUL, Jan. 29, 2008 — LIMRA International announced today a strategic partnership with Baeoom, a professional development and training company, to provide LIMRA products and services to its members in Korea.

"LIMRA now has a strong presence in Seoul that will increase the value and benefit of LIMRA membership by allowing better communication and service to our Korean members."
Mr. Aluise and Dr. Baik Yang, president and CEO of Baeoom, formally signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in a ceremony at Baeoom's headquarters in Seoul on Jan. 18, 2008. The agreement furthers LIMRA's goal of extending services "in-language, in-country" to more members around the world.
"LIMRA has been bringing knowledge and valuable services to our member companies in Korea for 50 years," Mr. Aluise said. "Baeoom will provide a physical presence and professional office in Seoul. Members will be able to communicate in Korean during standard Korean business hours to help them develop a strategic plan using LIMRA's powerful assessment, training and management tools to increase productivity and growth of their marketing and distribution channels."
