WINDSOR, Conn., Apr. 23, 2012 — This year the Strategic Issues Conference marks its 20th anniversary by coming to Vietnam for the first time this June 6-8.
“We’re very excited to be in Ho Chi Minh City this year,” said Gary Aluise, senior vice president and managing director, International Operations at LIMRA, LOMA and LL Global. “Coming here for the first time helps send the message that the industry is moving forward and embracing the next generation that is coming of age here in the Asian market, which is really what this year’s conference is all about.”
Celebrating its 20th year as one of the industry’s most prestigious conferences, this year’s Strategic Issues Conference, Generation Next: What Does the Future Hold?, is set to focus on helping companies better manage their business as the Asian marketplace evolves and a new generation of agents and advisors comes into the fold. To set the stage for this event, Stephan Rajotte, executive vice president and head of International Business Division for Samsung Life Insurance Co., Ltd., will give the opening keynote, addressing this evolution with his presentation “What’s Next in Life.”
Two of this year’s featured speakers at the conference include: Amitabh Chaudhry, managing director and CEO at HDFC Standard Life Insurance Company, who will discuss how the next generation is coping with an uncertain future and what lessons can be learned from the experiences of past generations; and Gary Comerford, executive vice president and global CMO International at Reinsurance Group of America, who will talk about the challenges of expanding your business into new territory in the international marketplace.
Co-hosted by LIMRA and LOMA, the Strategic Issues Conference attracts more than 200 industry leaders from throughout the Asian market seeking to better equip themselves for the many challenges each of them face in the expanding economy of the 21st century.
