WINDSOR, Conn., Apr. 2, 2012 — Trustworthy Selling®, a new producer sales effectiveness program developed by LIMRA and Hoopis Performance Network, was awarded the Edulence 2012 Digital Media Innovators Award for best online university.

Edulence’s Digital Media Innovator Awards is an annual competition hosted to recognize the very best in digital media solutions. Eligible submissions must contain new features developed in the prior year showcasing digital innovation in their respective category. The Edulence nomination committee selects three nominees for each of the four categories – Public Website, Private Intranet, Online University and Content Distribution.
In 2012, Trustworthy Selling competed against more than 100 other submissions, winning the Online University category after nearly 25,000 votes were received. The 2011 Online University winner was Hoopis Performance Network, which partnered with LIMRA to create Trustworthy Selling.
This prestigious award follows a recent study of Trustworthy Selling’s efficacy, which found that producers who received the training reported remarkably better sales results than those who did not participate in the training. Trustworthy Selling approaches the selling process from a different perspective, combining three critical aspects of selling: consumer and industry research, field-tested sales skills and buyer psychology. This sales training program offers a conscious, competent approach to understanding buyer psychology. Using that knowledge, producers can improve their sales results.
