New Program Features Instruction by Social Media Expert Erik Qualman
BOSTON, Aug. 22, 2013 — James Kerley, president, LIMRA Services, today announced a new training program in collaboration with social media expert Erik Qualman at the 2013 LIMRA LOMA Social Media Conference in Boston, Mass.
The four-part training program, entitled Winning Clients via Social Media, is designed for financial sales professionals, including insurance agents, registered representatives and investment advisor representatives, and will be offered as self-paced online training. The program instructs how to unlock the power of social media to expand networks, improve professional relationships online and prospect using social media platforms.
According to Kerley, “Now is the perfect time to offer this course. LIMRA research shows that 90 percent of financial services companies are using some form of social media. The next step is how to best maximize social media for business while, at the same time, meet compliance standards.”
Three of the sessions will emphasize marketing via social media and will be led by Qualman, author of Socialnomics and respected social media expert. The fourth session will be dedicated to social media compliance for financial sales professionals. The compliance section may be used for FINRA firm element requirements and can be customized for each company’s specific policies and procedures.

The course will be available September 2013, with corporate orders being taken now.
