LIMRA Hires New Head of its Banking Research Unit

WINDSOR, Conn., Oct. 20, 2014 — LIMRA today announced it has hired Dr. Betty Moon to be the next managing director of Bank Insurance and Securities Research Associates (BISRA), a collaborative effort between the Bank Insurance and Securities Association (BISA) and LIMRA.

“Betty has a very impressive background, holding key executive roles in some of the most prominent banking institutions in the country, including Bank of America and PNC,” said Robert Kerzner, president and CEO of LIMRA, LOMA and LL Global. “She brings strong leadership, strategic perspective and solid industry relationships, which will be very valuable to BISRA as it continues to be the one reliable go-to source for research, performance metrics and executive summits. BISRA was established in 2012 to provide in-depth research and business intelligence in the banking and credit union space. In addition to the research and other performance measurement and benchmarking tools, BISRA hosts a series of exclusive strategic summits for executives to learn about industry trends, share best practices, and discuss evolving issues, and current challenges.

Moon is an award-winning, well-respected leader in the banking industry. Most recently, she worked for Infosys Limited, a global technology and consulting company, as North America Banking and Investments Group Executive. Moon replaces Scott Stathis, who led BISRA since its inception and its predecessor, Kehrer-LIMRA. Stathis has agreed to stay through the end of 2014 to ensure a smooth transition.
