WINDSOR, Conn., Jan. 7, 2014 — Alison Salka, PhD, corporate vice president and director LIMRA Secure Retirement Institute Research, will be a panelist during the Retirement Income Strategies general session at the 7th Annual Opportunities in the DCIO Market conference, hosted by Financial Research Associates.

Salka is responsible for directing Secure Retirement Institute's retirement research program, which includes studies on consumer, advisor and employer trends, institutional and retail sales benchmarking, as well as competitive analysis on the retirement income market. Under her leadership, Secure Retirement Institute has expanded its retirement research program to meet the growing needs of LIMRA's members as they help Americans identify how much income they will need in retirement, develop a plan for investing their portfolio to generate income, while continuing to grow their assets.

The 7th Annual Opportunities in the DCIO Market conference will provide attendees with the research and industry knowledge on shifting trends in distribution channels and plan design, the impact of fee disclosure regulations, best practices for managing an effective sales and support team and the growing use of alternatives in DC plans to an audience of key executives in financial services companies in the region. Industry leaders and top practitioners will share best practices on plan development, marketing and operations, offering attendees the chance to learn in an open, collaborative forum.

The event will be held on Jan. 14-15, 2014, at The Harvard Club in Boston, Mass.
