WINDSOR, Conn., Nov. 5, 2014 — LIMRA and LOMA today announced the election of Tim Stonehocker executive vice president, Ameritas Life Insurance Corp, as chair of the LL Global Board of Directors for 2015.
Deanna Strable, senior vice president, U.S. Insurance Solutions, Principal Financial Group, was elected vice-chair and will succeed Stonehocker as chair in 2016.
The LL Global board provides oversight and guidance to LIMRA and LOMA, insuring that the research and education programs they create provide value to member companies.
Five new members were elected to the board for three-year terms:
- Michael J. Doughty, president and general manager, John Hancock Insurance, John Hancock Financial Services
- Nick Lane, senior executive director and head of U.S. Life and Retirement at AXA
- Michael Smith, chief executive officer, Insurance Solutions, Voya Financial
- Eric T. Steigerwalt, executive vice president and head of U.S. Retail at MetLife
- Marita Zuraitis, president and CEO, Horace Mann Educators Corporation
