Windsor, Conn., Feb. 25, 2016 — James Morris, FSA, chairman, president and CEO, Pacific Life Insurance Company, will open the 2016 Life Insurance Conference, which takes place Apr. 4–6, 2016, in Las Vegas.
Morris will share his perspective about what life insurance companies need to do to meet the financial needs of consumers today, tomorrow and into the future. He will also discuss the changed demographics and the current economic environment.
The event also features S. Jay Olshansky, Ph.D., professor, School of Public Health, University of Illinois at Chicago, will provide insights into why we live as long as we do and how to predict longevity at the individual and population level with a higher degree of accuracy. Olshansky will discuss a new underwriting and health scoring system that incorporates knowledge from well-established scientific disciplines.
The 2016 Life Insurance Conference also will host 30 workshops on product innovation, distribution, markets, technology, administration and regulation. Two workshops showcase new LIMRA research findings from the 2016 Insurance Barometer Study, and findings from a groundbreaking behavioral finance study will be showcased at the conference.
