Windsor, Conn.,John Brennan June 1, 2017 – In the wake of the May 2017 cyber-attacks, the world is pressing for an answer to how to prevent the next “big one” from having detrimental effects. Former CIA Director John Brennan will share his solutions to cybersecurity threats with leading executives of the life insurance and financial services industry at the 2017 LIMRA Annual Conference, on October 23, 2017, in National Harbor, Maryland.

Companies and organizations worldwide face unseen cyber threats every day. According to a PandaLabs report, 18 million new malware samples were captured in the third quarter of 2016 alone, making the need for a cyber-security plan more important than ever before. Brennan's experiences as director of CIA and Homeland Security advisor under President Obama and as the first director of the National Counterterrorism Center under President Bush, will help companies understand the nature of cyber threats and how they can protect themselves.

“The world has gone digital, and while that makes our daily lives easier and lets us run our businesses more efficiently, it opens us up to new threats every minute of every day,” said Robert A. Kerzner, president and CEO, LIMRA, LOMA and LL Global. “We are pleased to have John Brennan offer an insider’s look at the shifting global landscape and reveal what it takes to remain an effective player in business while keeping pace with the alarming proliferation of cyber threats.”

The LIMRA Annual Conference is one of the largest gatherings of executives representing all sectors of the financial services industry. The annual conference agenda is designed to offer attendees insights into the latest industry trends that could foretell future opportunities and solutions in the U.S. and worldwide.
