WINDSOR, Conn., Feb. 1, 2017 - LIMRA today is accepting nominations for 25 promising Distribution leaders under 40 in the financial services industry.

The Rising Star contest recognizes the industry’s best and brightest professionals under 40 who support Distribution within the financial services industry. LIMRA started this contest in 2016 as part of their 100th Anniversary celebration.

“How companies are connecting with customers is changing at a rapid pace. Understanding how the customer is changing and how they want to engage with our industry is becoming more important. To compete in today’s environment will require new thinking around distribution strategy, as well as the ability to embrace digital marketing, data analytics and other techniques to make informed business decisions, ” said Patrick Leary, corporate vice president and director of LIMRA Distribution Research. “We want to recognize emerging leaders who are in tune with today’s consumer and are driving innovation in distribution, which will be essential to the future success of our industry.”

Changes in regulation, advances in technology, and shifts in demographics and consumer expectations are challenging the current business practices in the financial services industry. It is important to acknowledge the next generation of leaders who will help transition the industry through this time of significant transformation.

LIMRA member companies’ employees who are under 40 years old and have a role in Distribution are eligible for nomination. All submissions should include a detailed description of why the nominee is a Rising Star in their field along with a high-resolution photo (min 300 dpi). To nominate a leader please visit the Rising Star Nomination page, and fill out the form.

“We are looking for creative and dedicated individuals who are making a difference in Distribution,” said Leary. “I encourage you to submit a colleague or yourself for nomination if this describes you.”

Deadline for entry is Monday, March 6, 2017 at 5 P.M. Eastern. A panel of judges will review all entries and select the top 25 entrants.
