LL Global Hires Chief Operating Officer

Research and Education Industry Trade Associations Announce New Executive Position

WINDSOR, Conn., April 10, 2017 – LL Global, Inc., the umbrella organization for LIMRA and LOMA, today announced it has hired Gina Cinelli Birchall to be chief operating officer (COO) for the organization. Gina Birchall

In this capacity, Birchall will lead the Legal, Accounting and the Windsor Facilities departments. In addition, she also will be working across the organization to help implement many of the ongoing entity-wide projects to improve efficiencies and processes.

“Gina has a well-rounded background with broad practical knowledge and understanding of how financial services firms operate. This insight will be valuable to our organization and to our members,” said Robert Kerzner, president and CEO, LIMRA, LOMA and LL Global. “What most impressed me was her commitment to collaboration in an effort toward continuous enterprise-wide improvement. I am confident she will help LIMRA and LOMA grow and adapt to better serve our members as they face the dynamic challenges of today’s environment.”

Prior to accepting the position at LL Global, Birchall spent most of her career at Guardian Life, holding roles with both strategic and operational responsibilities critical to Guardian Life’s success. In addition, she led the implementation of Lean Six Sigma and Operational Excellence at Guardian Life.

Birchall holds a Bachelor of Arts from Mount Holyoke College and her Juris Doctor from the Western New England University School of Law both in Massachusetts.

On Jan. 1, 2010, LIMRA and LOMA merged under the umbrella of LL Global, Inc., which provides a unified management structure. LL Global is a not-for-profit trade association with operating divisions LIMRA and LOMA.
