Inaugural Class Completes Globally-Recognized Designation

ATLANTA – January 30, 2017 – LOMA recently awarded the Associate, Secure Retirement Institute® (ASRI®) designation to its inaugural class of nearly 800 designees, highlighting the progress made with the association’s retirement education program and its positive impact on industry employees and organizations worldwide.

“Achieving this professional milestone is certainly a proud moment for those in our inaugural ASRI class,” said Katherine C. Milligan, FLMI, ACS, senior vice president of LOMA’s Education and Training Division. “These professionals around the world, representing 133 companies throughout 18 countries, have demonstrated a commitment to their personal career development and the retirement industry.”

LOMA’s Secure Retirement Institute awards the ASRI designation to those who complete six required courses within the Fellow, Secure Retirement Institute® (FSRI®) curriculum. The program is uniquely focused on the retail and institutional aspects of the retirement business. Professionals in operations, technology, customer service and marketing benefit from this effective eLearning program by gaining a deeper understanding of the complex challenges within the retirement market.  Their employers also benefit as these individuals leverage their increased knowledge and insight of the retirement sector in their day-to-day responsibilities, often resulting in greater efficiencies and improved customer satisfaction.

“Our inaugural class of nearly 800 ASRI designees affirms that our program is on the mark,” said Gary Lineberry, managing director, LOMA Retirement Education Solutions. “The program has experienced incredible growth and is fast becoming one of the leading education designations for head office associates in the retirement industry.”
