Windsor, Conn., May 2, 2017 – LIMRA research has found that insurers and financial services professionals are focused on marketing initiatives to enhance customers’ experience in order to differentiate themselves and remain competitive. This year’s 2017 Marketing Conference has been broadened and realigned to reflect the evolving customer-centric market.

As consumer expectations grow, insurance and financial services companies are shifting their attention to develop a stronger relationship with their policyholders. More and more, carriers are looking to understand how they are perceived by their customers, as well as consumers in general, and to ask themselves what can be done to improve these perceptions.

“Today’s marketing is centered around building digital initiatives to gain better consumer insights. In an age where the customer has access to more information and choices, it’s critical for marketers to provide the best possible customer experience,” says Alison Salka, Ph.D., senior vice president and director of LIMRA research. “LIMRA’s inaugural Marketing Conference and the new Creative Connections Awards program will highlight the creativity it takes to evolve in this customer-driven marketplace.”

The LIMRA Creative Connections Awards program recognizes marketing and creative excellence, innovation and achievement within the financial services industry. The award will highlight companies exhibiting best practices in financial services marketing. Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze winners will be recognized at a special awards ceremony at the event.

“We wanted to recognize the remarkable work marketing teams are doing across the industry. This new contest is designed to showcase the best campaigns in 2016 and 2017,” Salka noted. “We are thrilled with the response from our member firms.”

In an effort to meet the industry’s evolving needs, LIMRA has combined the Social Business Conference and the Marketing and Research Conference programs into the 2017 Marketing Conference. This year’s event will take place in Nashville, Tennessee, on May 31-June 2, 2017. It draws professionals in the areas of marketing, market research, product management, digital marketing, consumer experience, communications, customer insights, advertising, and marketing services together to help drive the creation of new and innovative marketing and tools to support business objectives.
