WINDSOR, Conn, May 6, 2019 – LIMRA announced today that former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (2010-2016) David Cameron will deliver the keynote speech at the 2019 LIMRA Annual Conference, which will be held October 27-29 in Boston.
“We are honored to have such a remarkable leader as David Cameron speak at our Annual Conference,” said David Levenson, president and CEO, LIMRA, LOMA and LL Global. “Mr. Cameron is one of the most prominent global influencers of our time. His perspective on geopolitics and the importance of steady leadership in particular are something our members will find insightful and applicable.”
David Cameron served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland from 2010 to 2016, leading UK’s first conservative coalition government in nearly 70 years. Under his leadership, the UK’s economy was transformed: the deficit was reduced by over two-thirds; one million businesses set-up; a record number of jobs were created; and Britain became the fastest-growing major advanced economy in the world.
As the UK’s youngest prime minister in two centuries, Cameron played a critical role in developing foreign policy, increasing transparency and open trade. He also helped re-write the global goals on aid and sustainable development.
