WINDSOR, Conn., April 8, 2021 — The pandemic has caused all businesses, including financial services, to take a fresh look at strategy and operations. That is why the theme for this year’s LIMRA and LOMA Canada Virtual Annual Conference, on May 19 –20, is “pivot, persevere and prosper.”

John Carroll, head of Member Relations and Sales — Insurance, U.S. and Canada for LIMRA and LOMA will kick off the conference by sharing LIMRA research that illustrates how the pandemic is changing customer expectations, where the industry is headed and some opportunities that lie ahead.

Hugh Moncrieff, executive vice president for Advisory Network and Industry Affairs at Canada Life, will talk about how his company is working with its advisors to build their businesses to be able to better serve their customers.

In their session “Becoming a Behavioral Coach,” Manulife’s Catherine Milum, head of wealth sales, and Nic Pascoe, sales leader, Individual Insurance Sales, will share insights on the psychological bias impacting consumers’ financial decision-making — particularly in light of the global pandemic.

Additional conference sessions:

As many as 100 industry leaders from 40 companies throughout Canada typically attend the conference to learn from and engage with thought leaders and industry experts who will share their knowledge, strategies and insights.
