WINDSOR, Conn. March 11, 2021 — Learn from experts in compliance and financial crimes services at the first ever Compliance & Financial Crimes conference. The event, hosted jointly by LIMRA and LOMA, will be held virtually March 23-25. 

Pat Williams, co-founder and senior vice president, NBA Orlando Magic, will open the conference with proven principles for building a winning team in your business or organization. Later that day, Russ Anderson, head of financial crimes, LIMRA and LOMA, will moderate a panel with Kamal Gad-el-Hak, strategy lead for Fraud Operations at MassMutual, and Matthew Harper, director of Cyber Crime Prevention and Product Security at Aflac. They will share how they are using data analytics to more effectively and efficiently identify and prevent fraudulent activity.

The following day, Michele Kryger, senior compliance and elder & vulnerable client care officer, AIG Life & Retirement, will talk about the growing threat of elder abuse and what companies can do to detect it, investigate it, and ultimately stop it.

Nancy Hill, vice president, Regulatory Compliance, Pacific Life, will moderate a panel with Rob Horrobin, assistant vice president, Advanced Analytics and Planning, Pacific Life, Kartik Sakthivel, chief information officer, LIMRA and LOMA, and David Turgeon, head of data intelligence, MassMutual. They will share how data is used within their organizations and insights for future opportunities.

Other sessions include fraud prevention techniques, assessing a company’s financial crime risks, the role of special investigations units, diversity and inclusion from a regulatory perspective, what’s next in regulatory trends and much more.
