WINDSOR, Conn., June 23, 2021 — LL Global, Inc., the parent company of LIMRA, LOMA, and Secure Retirement Institute® (SRI®), today announced the release of RemotePRO Leader, the second offering from its “Remote PROductivity” toolkit. The new tool measures the competencies needed to be successful in managing a remote workforce.

Built with industry experts and Aon, a leading global professional services firm providing a broad range of risk, retirement and health solutions, the toolkit is designed to improve virtual employees’ productivity and success at an organizational level. The financial services industry-specific toolkit will determine which employees have the skills to thrive virtually, help leaders recognize and improve virtual workforce management, and provide employees’ perspective on their virtual work environment.

RemotePRO Leader identifies the traits of a successful remote leader on six dimensions — accountability, collaboration, communication, empathy, empowerment, and trust ― and includes a situational judgment assessment that replicates a real-time instant messaging interface. Each scenario in the situational assessment presents real-life decisions that managers of remote workers face on a daily basis.

“As we begin to emerge from the environment brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, more and more companies are realizing the benefits of a remote workforce,” said Kathy Reid, vice president, Talent Solutions, LIMRA. “Now is the time to help leaders and employees adjust to their new environment whether that be fully remote, fully in the office or in a hybrid situation. This tool helps leaders work more effectively with all employees — whether they are working in the office or remotely.”

This new tool offers a dashboard with roll-up reporting and benchmarking to determine how a company compares to peers in the industry and tracks progress over time. This high-level view provides the insights organizations need to respond to and evolve in the changed work environment and build for long-term success. It builds on RemotePRO Employee, which measures the critical competencies employees need to succeed in a virtual role: adaptability, autonomy, collaboration, communication, focus and accountability.

A recent validity study of the RemotePRO Leader tool found those who scored high on the assessment are nearly two times more likely to foster trust within their teams and nearly three times more likely to collaborate effectively with a virtual or hybrid team.
