WINDSOR, Conn., Jan. 18, 2022 — LIMRA’s 2022 Distribution Conference for Financial Services will be held March 1 – 3, in Miami, Florida. This year’s conference, “The Shape of Things to Come,” will focus on the forces shaping insurance distribution and how distribution professionals can manage the transition.
Each year, the Distribution Conference for Financial Services draws nearly 400 industry professionals involved in distribution channel growth, productivity, and strategy.
“We now operate in a hybrid world where advisors and consumers enjoy flexibility in how they interact. This requires our industry to adapt and adopt new technologies and approaches that empower financial professionals to meet their clients in a way that best suits their needs,” said John Carroll, senior vice president and head of insurance and annuities, North America, LIMRA, LOMA & LL Global, Inc. “This year’s conference will help distribution professionals harness new capabilities to keep delivering value to their customers."
Keynote speakers for this year’s event include:
Concurrent sessions will focus on the evolution of direct distribution and recruiting and managing distribution in this new world. Remote work, the growing importance of DE&I, and virtual hiring have shifted the recruiting environment, while distribution managers are identifying what models will be most effective post-pandemic. There will also be a session exploring the increase in mergers and acquisitions in the brokerage market and the implications to sales, carriers, and individual producers.
The Distribution Conference will host five interactive roundtable sessions that explore new strategies and best practices in client acquisition, DE&I, sustaining culture in today’s work environments, strengthening the value proposition, and the wealth management long game.
Finally, Alison Salka, senior vice president and director of LIMRA Member Benefits and Research, along with EY, will conclude the Distribution Conference with a presentation of new research from LIMRA and EY on distribution models, business placement preferences, client acquisition, most valued products and services, and an outlook on the future.
