Leaders will discuss significant industry changes influencing distribution and the opportunities to help close the insurance coverage gap.
WINDSOR, Conn. January 17, 2024 — LIMRA’s 2024 Distribution Conference will be held February 26–28 in Fernandina Beach, Fla. This year’s conference — themed “Winning Together” — will focus on major changes in the distribution space and how harnessing these changes can help our industry close the insurance coverage gap.
“We know consumers have a great need for insurance products in the U.S. The only way to address this need is together as an industry,” explains John Carroll, senior vice president, head of Life & Annuities, LIMRA and LOMA. “Leaders will leave the LIMRA Distribution Conference with new ideas on how to approach clients and leverage distribution channels to help more consumers with their insurance and annuity needs.”
Kicking off the conference, Bryan Hodgens, who heads LIMRA research, will outline five opportunities within the growing U.S. life and annuity markets that distribution leaders can capitalize on to expand their business.
Afterward, John Kennedy, executive vice president and chief distribution and brand officer for Lincoln Financial, will provide his perspective on the future of the financial services industry.
Additional general sessions at this year’s event include:
- Elatia Abate, futurist and founder of the Future of Now, will offer three practical strategies for successfully navigating an unknown business landscape.
- Seth Mattison, leadership expert and future of work strategist, will share his expertise on how leaders can upskill their teams and manage their talent.
- Ethan Mollick, innovation expert and artificial intelligence thought leader at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, will provide attendees with an in-depth exploration of how AI can transform their business models when embraced strategically and thoughtfully.
- Alison Salka, senior vice president and director of research for LIMRA and LOMA, closes the conference with a discussion on future markets for financial services, including how companies can better respond to younger generations’ insurance needs.
The Distribution Conference will feature breakout sessions covering emerging trends and challenges including adopting AI and ChatGPT to improve the customer experience, retaining talent while attracting younger producers and carriers, evolving technology and digital distribution, and overcoming barriers to help close the coverage gap.
