WINDSOR, Conn., June 18, 2025 — Former Governor of Rhode Island and 40th U.S. Secretary of Commerce, Gina Raimondo will present at the 2025 LIMRA Annual Conference. The event will be held September 14 – 16 in Kissimmee, Fla.
As Secretary of Commerce, Raimondo helped American competition by spurring good-paying jobs, empowering entrepreneurs to innovate and grow, and advancing the nation’s economic and national security. The Department of Commerce, under her leadership, made historic investments in internet access, manufacturing, economic development, workforce training, supply chain resiliency and climate readiness. The Secretary has also taken a leading role in ensuring the responsible development of artificial intelligence.
Under Secretary Raimondo’s leadership, the Department of Commerce invested $39 billion in incentives for leading-edge chip manufacturing and $11 billion for research and development under the CHIPS program, putting the United States on the path to produce roughly 20% of the world’s leading-edge logic chips by 2030.
In her presentation, Gina will address critical challenges and opportunities businesses face in today’s interconnected world. Attending leaders will learn expert insights on innovation, supply chain optimization, and how to position their companies in an evolving economy.
Also presenting is U.S. broadcaster, journalist and author, Hoda Kotb. The former NBC TODAY show co-host will inspire leaders to embrace change by presenting insights from resilience studies and drawing from personal experience. Attendees will gain new perspectives on thriving through disruption.
This year’s theme — Elevating Tomorrow — focuses on our industry’s shared purpose to innovate, grow, and collaborate.
“Our industry is changing rapidly,” said David Levenson, president and CEO, LIMRA and LOMA. “We designed the conference agenda to highlight the most effective ways for our members to reach more consumers through innovative solutions and expanding channels of distribution.”
Additional concurrent sessions will focus on building the next generation of financial professionals, the future of employee benefits and benefits technology, the rise of fee-based and contingent deferred annuities, new strategies for attracting consumers under 40, and economic and regulatory forces shaping life insurance.
The LIMRA Annual Conference continues to be one of the largest gatherings of executives from across the financial services industry.
