Windsor, Conn., January 28, 2019 - According to a new LIMRA Secure Retirement Institute (LIMRA SRI) study, 79 percent of American consumers are concerned about financial fraud with 36 percent saying they were very concerned. The study found one quarter of Americans report they have been a victim of financial fraud with 13 percent victimized in the past two years.

Concerned about Money in Retirement, Women See Value in Financial Advice

A LIMRA Secure Retirement Institute survey revealed that among consumers aged 50 -75 with $100,000 or more in household income women are more likely than men to be concerned about running out of money in retirement (46 percent vs. 35 percent).

According to the new Secure Retirement Institute (SRI) study, more than half (56%) of U.S. workers are interested in investing in a guaranteed lifetime income option within their employer’s retirement savings plan if it was available to them. Of those who are currently saving in their employer’s defined contribution (DC) plan, 61% say they would be somewhat or very likely to contribute to a guaranteed lifetime income investment option.
