Windsor, CT, October 30, 2006 — LIMRA International announced today plans to expand and enhance its LIMRA Executive Development program, designed to prepare promising candidates for top management responsibilities.

Beginning in January 2007, the Executive Development program will have more than 30 sessions for executives to choose from to improve their leadership, marketing, and financial skills. The new program will incorporate innovative sessions to the curriculum, such as Scenario Planning and Entering International Markets to respond to the changing needs of today's business leaders. In addition, candidates who complete the program will receive the LIMRA Leadership Institute Fellow (LLIF) designation.

"The curriculum is of tremendous benefit to all financial services executives," said Modern Woodmen of America president and CEO and LLIF graduate W. Kenny Massey. "It brings greater understanding of the important disciplines of our industry and affords an interactive experience with your peers. I personally endorse LIMRA's Executive Development program and will continue to send selected individuals through the program."

For nearly 20 years, LIMRA has helped groom the next generation of industry leaders through the Executive Development program. More than 313 executives in 23 countries have earned the LLIF designation and completed a rigorous program of MBA-level work.

The 2007 calendar features exciting new seminars and added flexibility for busy executives. In addition to offering the traditional week-long LLIF designation courses, LIMRA has added a number of new, one- and two-day seminars to help complete the designation. The program can be tailored to suit individual schedules, development plans, and succession management needs, while obtaining the cross-disciplinary skills necessary for well-rounded industry executives.

The new Executive Development program will culminate with the LIMRA Capstone program at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

"We are delighted to continue our collaboration with LIMRA's Executive Development Program," said Jon Spector, vice dean of Wharton Executive Education. "The wide-ranging curriculum helps arm participants with the many tools they need to become effective and successful leaders in the insurance industry, providing strategic value to their organizations."

"Identifying and preparing the next generation of leaders through succession planning must be a priority for LIMRA's member companies," said Bob Kerzner, LIMRA's president and CEO. "LIMRA's Executive Development program provides up-and-coming leaders the wide range of skills that they will need to deal with the issues that will face our industry to be successful."
