Award winning global futurist Chris Riddell to speak on how to reach new generation of customers
WINDSOR, Conn., April 18, 2018 – LIMRA and LOMA announce today global futurist Chris Riddell will be the keynote speaker at the 2018 Asia Distribution Conference. The event will be held in Bangkok, Thailand on May 17-18.
In his keynote presentation, Riddell will discuss the challenges of living in an era of hyper distraction and share proven strategies on how to reach customers that are consistently bombarded with content across multiple platforms.
The conference theme, 2020 Vision: The Future of CX, will focus on customer experience and how it is driving distribution and operational changes to meet the consumers’ demand for customized, quick digital experiences. Workshops will explore topics such as predictive analytics, bancassurance, and the most efficient ways to run and grow an agency.
Alison Salka, LIMRA’s senior vice president and director of research, will present on the changing economic, technological and consumer forces that are changing the insurance industry. Her presentation Vision and Transformation: Distribution in a Time of Disruption focuses on customers’ needs and their methods of gathering data.
“It is crucial for companies to understand that advances in technology have raised expectations across the board for consumers,” noted Salka. “LIMRA has a lot of research to help insurance companies and advisors try to meet these expectations head on.”
Other speakers featured include:
- Dr. Suthiphon Thaveechaiyagarn, secretary-general and insurance commissioner, Thailand will discuss how insurance regulators can protect public interest today while still preparing and adapting for the future.
- Paul Schulte, chief executive officer, Schulte Research, will discuss the goal of blockchain and distributed ledger technology and how it can be applied to the insurance industry.
- John Brisco, chief executive officer, Coherent Capital Advisors Ltd., will discuss how to overcome the challenges of being an intermediary in today’s new ecosystem.
- Bharat Kannan, chief distribution officer, MetLife Asia Ltd. will discuss how the insurance sector can best use social media to their advantage.
The conference will be presented in English, with simultaneous interpretation services in Korean, Mandarin and Thai.
The conference will be held at the Shangri-La Hotel and typically attracts more than 200 industry professionals involved with distribution management in the Asia-Pacific Region, including heads of agency, channel heads, heads of recruiting and training managers.
