WINDSOR, Conn., June 5, 2017—LIMRA announced the winners for the inaugural Creative Connections Awards at the 2017 LIMRA Marketing Conference held last week in Nashville, Tennessee.

The LIMRA Creative Connections Award, established in 2017, recognizes and rewards marketing and creative excellence, innovation and achievement. This award highlights best practices in financial services marketing. The final award winners were determined based on how well they demonstrate the ability to integrate multiple marketing tools and channels to build connective campaigns that support business objectives for their company.

Twenty companies submitted entries for consideration this year. LIMRA enlisted 18 financial services executives and marketing experts to judge the submissions. Executives did not review submissions from their own companies.

The 2017 LIMRA Creative Connections Award winners:

  • Platinum Award Winner: American National Insurance Company for “Fuel Tube” campaign, an online experience built using a custom algorithm, where classic car enthusiasts can view, share, and create content about collector vehicles.
  • Gold Award Winner: Prudential Financial for  “4.01k Race for Retirement” campaign, an integrated digital and experiential marketing event, using in-person and online activities to encourage retirement saving
  • Silver Award Winner: Sammons Financial Group for  “Annuity E-App” campaign, which encouraged the adoption of Annuity e-App to their agents
  • Bronze Award Winner: The Great-West Life Assurance Company for “Hello Life” campaign, an effort to introduce consumers near or at retirement age to a comprehensive retirement income program.

“The judges were particularly impressed with the quality and strength of all the entries.  Each showcased a sophisticated and integrated strategy to address their respective companies’ business goals,” noted Lisa Tanen-La Fontaine, chief marketing officer, LIMRA and LOMA. “Today’s marketing professionals are tasked with engaging consumers who are inundated with more than 10,000 messages daily. The winners represented the best in marketing across the financial services industry.”

Congratulations to the winners!
