WINDSOR, Conn., July 16, 2018 – LIMRA and LOMA’s flagship publications have been recognized as recipients of a 2018 APEX award for publication excellence.
LIMRA’s MarketFacts has won the Award of Excellence in the category of Design and Layout. The design work was done by Marlene McAuley, LOMA’s graphic design manager. It was a winner in the Magazines, Journals and Tabloids category for its Number 1, 2018 issue. LOMA’s Resource magazine won an Award of Excellence in the Writing – Financial and Investment category for an article titled “Deals, Drivers, Disruptors,” written by Jennifer Rankin.
MarketFacts was one of 20 publications selected in its category by APEX judges, which had 287 overall submissions.

Resource’s article was one of five selected in its category, which had 284 writing submissions.

The contest, which received a total of 1,408 entries, awards excellence in graphic design, editorial content and the success of the entry in achieving overall communications effectiveness and excellence. Now in its 30th year, APEX is an international competition that receives hundreds of entries every year.
