Summary

Employee benefit brokers have served as a longstanding bridge between carriers and their clients. While their role in the workplace benefits value chain is well established, it is also evolving rapidly to meet the growing needs of increasingly diverse and dispersed employer groups. To better understand the future direction of this industry segment, LIMRA and EY partnered to examine the perspectives of key stakeholders, including brokers. Drawing primarily from 25 in-depth interviews of employee benefit professionals, this report focuses on how brokers anticipate their practices and marketplace evolving over the next five years.
