LIMRA conducted a brief survey in July 2024 that reviewed the types of voluntary products offered and participation rates for those products.

  • Twenty carriers participated in the study, which considered voluntary products filed on a group and individual basis.
  • This study also asked carriers to discuss new sales and in-force (or reenrollment) participation rates, comparing results from 2023 to 2022.

Mary Trecek, Ed.D.

Mary Trecek is a member of the Workplace Benefits research team at LIMRA and LOMA, taking a generalist’s view on understanding the benefits landscape. Her approach to research is driven by the intersection of data and storytelling. Based in the Midwest, Mary came to LIMRA with thirteen years of experience in insurance at Mutual of Omaha. She earned her doctorate in Leadership and Learning in Organizations from Vanderbilt University.
