LIMRA and NAILBA collaborated on a research study to learn more about brokerage general agencies (BGAs) and independent marketing organizations (IMOs) in the U.S. The goal was to gain a better understanding of this marketplace, its composition, challenges, and opportunities.

Summary

In fall 2021, LIMRA and NAILBA joined forces and surveyed 60 brokerage general agencies (BGAs) and independent marketing organizations (IMOs) to learn more about their organizational profile, producer network, carrier relationships, business operations, and future outlook. This report is designed for ease of reading and use. The format is primarily graphs and charts to allow simple navigation throughout the report.
